1. Who we are

Backlabel is a service of Blok Consulting, [street and number, postcode, city], Belgium, company number [company number]. You can reach us at [legal e-mail address].

2. The service

Backlabel lets businesses publish e-labels for their products. People open them by scanning a code printed on the product or its packaging. You manage them in the dashboard at https://app.backlabel.eu.

Backlabel is for businesses only. Whoever opens an account accepts these terms on behalf of their business and confirms they may do so. The data processing agreement is part of these terms.

3. Accounts and access

  • An account belongs to your business. Its owners decide who has access and with which role.
  • Everyone signs in with their own email address. Keep access to that mailbox and to your passkeys secure.
  • Our support only signs in as one of your users when you ask, for at most an hour. Each such session and everything done in it appears in your account’s log.

4. Your content

  • What you put in Backlabel stays yours.
  • You’re responsible for it being correct, complete and lawful, including the information the law requires on your products. The standard ingredients and translations we offer are an aid: check them before you publish.
  • You allow us to store, copy and show your published pages, including in the backup copy described below, for as long as these terms keep them online.
  • A published version never changes. A correction is a new version.

5. Plans, prices and payment

  • The plans, their limits and their prices are on the billing page. Prices exclude VAT unless stated otherwise.
  • Paid plans are paid monthly or yearly in advance through Stripe, and renew until you cancel. You can cancel at any time on the billing page; the plan then ends at the end of the period you paid for. Periods already started aren’t refunded, unless the law requires it.
  • We announce price changes at least 30 days before the period they apply to.
  • Limits only stop new things. If you go over a limit or move to a smaller plan, what you already published keeps working and can always be recalled.

6. Your pages stay online

  • Printed codes have to keep working. Published pages stay online as long as you sell the product, and at least [minimum period] after its last version is published.
  • If you cancel, your account becomes read-only: no new products or versions, but your pages stay online for that period and you can still recall a product.
  • You can export your whole account at any time, in an open format.
  • An owner can ask us to delete the account earlier. We warn you first that the legal obligation to provide the information remains yours, and delete everything 30 days after the request. Until then, you can cancel it.

7. If we stop

Every night we copy all public pages to a second European provider outside our main hosting, so that printed codes can keep working without us. If we ever stop the service, we tell you at least twelve months ahead and give every customer a full export.

8. Availability

We do our best to keep Backlabel available at all times, but we don’t guarantee it. We plan maintenance so that public pages stay online.

9. Fair use

Don’t use Backlabel for anything unlawful or misleading, don’t try to get around its security or limits, and don’t resell it without our agreement. If an account breaks these terms, we may suspend it after telling the owners, or at once when that’s needed to stop harm.

10. Liability

Our liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the event that caused the damage. We’re not liable for indirect damage such as lost profit, nor for the content you publish. This doesn’t limit liability that the law doesn’t allow to be limited, such as for intent or fraud.

11. Personal data

How we handle personal data is in the privacy policy. For personal data you put in Backlabel, the data processing agreement applies.

12. Changes to these terms

When we change these terms in substance, we tell the owners of every account at least 30 days before the change applies, by email and in the dashboard, where an owner accepts the new version for the account. If you don’t agree, you can cancel before the change applies.

13. Ending

You can stop at any time by cancelling your plan. We can end these terms if you seriously break them, or with twelve months’ notice. Sections 6 and 7 continue after the end.

14. Law and courts

Belgian law applies. Disputes go to the courts of [city].
